Meet Lauren Castillo of Colorado Resin Florals

The average cost of wedding flowers is around $3500. With labor and supply shortages, that number continues to rise. It’s no wonder floral preservation has become one of the biggest trends we’ve seen this year. Lauren Castillo, founder of the Highlands Ranch-based Colorado Resin Florals, has answered this call by transforming your beloved flowers into gorgeous resin keepsakes.

Her journey started in July of 2020 when she wanted to preserve her own wedding bouquet. After lots of time, practice and dedication, she was able to perfect her technique and she now creates crystal clear resin preservations for other brides.

“Brides spend a lot of their wedding budget on florals and I strive to make sure they don’t get thrown in the trash after their special day!”

Want one? Here’s what Lauren suggests:

  • Make sure your flowers get back in water after the ceremony.
  • It is best to dry within a couple days of the event, if possible. If you need to wait longer, keep your flowers (in a vase) in the refrigerator to keep them looking fresh. The sooner we dry them, the better they will turn out.
  • The sooner you get me your flowers the better the results. Within one to three days is the best target for delivery.
